All About Coding Courseware

Welcome! My name is Arushi Singh and I am the founder of Coding Courseware. Years of taking summer courses, participating in hackathons, and immersing myself in internships fostered my ardor for computer science. I find beauty in the non-traditional aspects of programming by applying my coding skills to tackle problems in the realms of bioinformatics and economics. For that reason, I created this organization in hopes of fostering an environment where students of all backgrounds can come together to learn the interdisciplinary aspects of computer science. Here at Coding Courseware we don't just aim to equip the next generation of software developers with valuable skills but also the next generation of scientists, artists, teachers, entrepreneurs, and lawyers. Having served over 200 students through our engaging lesson plans, videos, tutoring sessions, and webinars, we hope that you will use us as a venue to embark on your next journey.

FAQ

What services do you provide to help students discover the intricacies of programming?

At the forefront of our organization we provide students access to tutoring sessions and informative videos that teach the basics of several programming languages including Java, Python, HTML, CSS, C#, and Ruby. In addition to the videos, we have included several lesson plans to do alongside the videos and host several webinars, competitions, and summer programs throughout the year that give students a chance to work in small groups with other students and hear from guest speakers. To ensure that you have an individualized experience we match you with an appropriate tutoring session and email you relevant videos and lesson plans every week as the session is in progress.

Start A Chapter

Though we provide access to videos, webinars, summer camps and lesson plans to anyone who visits our website, our in-person tutoring opportunities are currently only available for students in the DMV area. We do offer online tutoring for all students irresspective of location but also recognize that some students prefer face-to-face tutoring. If you are interested in starting a chapter of Coding Courseware in your community to provide students with in-person tutoring please fill out the proposal below. We evaluate proposals based upon qualifications and demonstrated interest per geographical area and if we decide you are a good fit we will reach out to you with a further application process within one week of the proposal submission. Help broaden our impact and fill out the form below!

Update: Due to Covid-19 all in person tutoring has been canceled and tutoring will only take place through an online platform. We are still welcoming Chapter submissions though this does not give you the right to conduct in person tutoring as a Coding Courseware branch. Instead, chapters will be directed to ways they can stay involved with Coding Courseware if their proposal is accepted. Thank you for your cooperation.
